| Objective | Defense is at all-time highs. This isn't a bounce trade, it's a structure trade. 73% of non-competed federal dollars run through one FAR exception: "only one responsible source." The question is whether the government could replace a supplier without paying for it. 2026 showed irreplaceability no longer converts to price. So: own monopolies the government cannot break, not ones it hasn't broken yet. Geology, statute and certification survive. Capacity doesn't. | I own the full length of one trade: the companies whose cash flow funds the AI buildout, and the physical bottlenecks that buildout cannot proceed without. The goal is asymmetric returns from the constraint layers, underwritten by compounders that keep working if I'm early. |
